This is another excellent recording of an Act II show. The recording from the
1st September concert is marginally better and clearer than the 31st August
recording (where the crowd level is a little more evident) - however both are
deserving of an EX- rating. The 1st September concert is nothing short of
inspired and is enjoyable from start to finish. A rather lengthy, bluesy guitar
jam to close out 'Raspberry Beret', a very rare few lines from 'Over The
Rainbow' in the piano medley, and an excellent (in part due to the crowds
reaction) version of 'Girls & Boys'. It's a strange decision to add part of the
31st August show, as both are already circulating in their complete form -
however it does flow well, and to the unknowing ear it may not be noticed. The
addition of the NPG's opening act is a nice touch, however it is incomplete.
Overall though this is an excellent release of 2 fantastic, energetic Act II
concerts. All hail to the Trickster for making this possible.....eventually ;-))
