Eye Records proudly present "La Coruna : the right way...again"

Some bootleg companies like to make grand statements, boasting of their quality 
and achievements. Unfortunately, more and more these days it's bluster and bs. 
EYE Records' claim for their recent "La Coruna" release was "Complete show from 
a lower generation VHS video tape". However, what they really meant was "ripped 
from a circulating fan released DVD which was sourced from a lower generation 
video tape, and converted to NTSC".
The result of this is an end product very obviously worse than the source 
material.

"La Coruna: the right way...again" started as a personal project before EYE 
announced their release. However, the poor quality of EYE's release demanded 
that ??? Records come out of retirement to give the fans a true upgrade!

The owner of the original VHS tape used for the best circulating version had 
been contacted and generously produced the original tape.
For a 20 year old tape it was in good condition, but there were some issues with 
the tape being damaged in places. Repairing those sections frame by frame was 
investigated, however the results, while good, were not perfect. There was still 
damage on the screen, so it was decided that if there was going to be noticeable 
damage, it may as well be the original tape damage. Short sections of damage (1
-3 frames or so) were repaired, but the longer/worse sections were left alone 
(bar one). Levels were tweaked, luma and chroma issues were corrected and noise 
was removed. There are still some issues with the picture, most notably 
"ghosting", however these are down to the tape or the broadcast.

The audio was replaced with 4DaFunk's superb audio.

It was decided to leave out the "bonus" material from the EYE release, as it is 
of poor quality and would simply take space and bitrate from the La Coruna 
recording.
It was also decided to leave the final disc in the original source format of PAL 
rather than reduce the quality by converting to NTSC, as EYE had done.

While not perfect, we believe the final result to be the best version of this 
broadcast currently avialable and a considerable improvement in quality over any 
circulating version.
